HEAD OF DESIGN - ONEPIECE

Are you a commercial and creative designer with a passion for apparel trends and defining the future of comfortable clothing? Onepiece is seeking a Head of Design to join our creative team at our Oslo headquarters. In this role, you'll lead the design process of our iconic jumpsuits and collections, setting new standards for comfort and style while staying true to our defined niche and Norwegian roots.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of new collections and limited capsule designs, with a strong focus on our signature jumpsuits and Norwegian-inspired pieces.
• Collaborate closely with the COO/Product Manager and Design Assistant to oversee every phase of product development, from concept to production samples.
• Conduct trend research and translate insights into marketable, story-driven designs that align with Onepiece's brand identity and values.
• Work with external partners on collaborative designs, ensuring each project captures our carefree, Sunday-inspired vibe.
• Develop and refine tech packs, construction details, and production instructions to maintain quality and consistency.
• Select trims, components, and packaging in collaboration with the Product Manager, emphasizing simplicity and elegance.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in textile/fashion design
• A genuine passion for fashion and apparel trends, and the ability to transform them into commercially successful products.
• Strong understanding of fabrics, materials, and components, and their practical applications.
• Proven experience working with factories and fabric suppliers, as well as a keen eye for detail and quality.
• Exceptional creativity, with a commercial mindset and a strong understanding of the Onepiece DNA.
• Excellent English skills, both written and spoken, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
