PRODUCTION PLANNER

for our purchasing department

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Production Planner role will be a key player in our team and a central part of the purchasing department's work in supporting all stages of the production and purchasing flow - from capacity booking in the factory and order placement, to the delivery of goods in the warehouse.

The role means that you will primarily work with order placement and production follow-up and your main tasks will be:

- Daily contact and close co-operation with our production office in Dhaka, Bangladesh and with Swedish agents.

- Order placement and follow-up of both standard and special orders, such as customised garments. For some productions we also coordinate labels, fabric etc.

- Act as a link between suppliers and internal teams throughout production.

- Booking, fabric purchasing, order placement and monitoring of delivery time.

- Manage any changes in delivery times and work on alternative solutions in case of delays.

- Responsible for certain categories regarding capacity booking, fabric purchasing and order placement, and follow up and update in case of changes.

- Continuous contact with suppliers and freight forwarders before shipping goods.

We work in the business systems GARP and CCWA for order placement and delivery follow-up.

Your profile & personality

We are looking for someone who has an interest in and knowledge of the entire production process and who wants to be involved in a wide range of tasks. In order to thrive in the role, you should have a very good ability and flexibility to handle several different administrative tasks in parallel, enjoy detailed planning and have the ability to work proactively and quickly, and be able to act solution-oriented in various unplanned events.

You are a positive, responsible person with a sense of structure and accuracy and an eye for detail.

You will have strong communication skills, be self-motivated and take it for granted to prioritise tasks when necessary and to meet deadlines.

You should enjoy working in a team as well as independently and have excellent interpersonal skills. As the department is small, you are expected to be prepared to work across different areas of responsibility and contribute to ensuring an efficient and smooth flow together with the rest of the team.
