BUSINESS CONTROLLER - MISS MARY OF SWEDEN

Miss Mary of Sweden, a manufacturer of high-quality, well-fitting women’s lingerie, was founded in 1957 and has in recent years transformed into a modern international e-commerce company. We have offices in Borås, Sweden, and Tallinn, Estonia, and our products are sold in more than 18 countries.

We are now strengthening our Finance function and are looking for a Business Controller who can turn numbers into valuable business insights and act as a true business partner to the leadership team on Miss Mary’s continued growth journey.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will join a group on an exciting growth journey, in a role where your work will have a tangible impact and be closely connected to the business.

We are looking for an analytical and commercially oriented Business Controller with overall responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis and management reporting. A key part of the role is working closely with the CFO and leadership team to further develop our financial steering and take the controlling function to the next level.

The Business Controller reports to the CFO of Miss Mary Group and will be part of our Finance function, which consists of four colleagues in Sweden, while working closely with our team in Estonia.

WE BELIEVE YOU HAVE

• A relevant academic degree in Finance, Accounting or a similar field, combined with 3–6 years of experience in controlling, FP&A or another business-facing finance role.

• A structured, driven and analytical mindset, with a genuine interest in the business and the ability to move seamlessly between strategic thinking and operational detail.

• A strong focus on delivery and a high level of ownership. You take responsibility for your tasks and see them through from start to finish with commitment and determination.

• Strong Excel skills and excellent analytical capabilities, together with experience using BI tools and ERP systems. Experience in finance process automation or digitalisation is a plus.

• The ability to communicate financial insights and conclusions clearly and confidently, and to explain complex financial matters to a broad range of stakeholders, both within and outside the Finance function.

• Full professional proficiency in both Swedish and English, spoken and written. As Miss Mary is an international company, this is essential.

• Experience from consumer goods, retail or e-commerce would be a strong advantage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Budgeting and forecasting – Lead the Group’s budgeting and forecasting processes in close collaboration with the CFO and the business.

• Management reporting – Prepare clear and insightful monthly management reports, including variance analysis and recommended actions for the leadership team and Board.

• Profitability analysis – Analyse performance across entities, business areas, products and markets to identify margin drivers and value-creating opportunities.

• KPIs and financial steering – Define, develop and monitor key performance indicators that support business decisions and strategic direction.

• Business partnering – Support the leadership team with decision-making materials, investment cases, pricing analyses and strategic initiatives.

• Process optimisation – Proactively drive automation, efficiency improvements and the development of finance processes, while contributing to a strong internal control environment and effective financial risk management.
